ASPH Call for Abstracts: Innovations in Teaching Global Health—Deadline: June 7, 2010

Academy logoThe ASPH/Pfizer Public Health Academy of Distinguished Teachers (Academy), under the auspices of the American Public Health Association (APHA) Academic Public Health Caucus, seeks abstracts for an "Innovations in Teaching Global Health" session during the 2010 APHA Annual Meeting. The session will be held Monday, November 8 from 2:30-4 p.m. (Mountain) in Denver, CO. The Academy aims to highlight innovations in teaching global health at the undergraduate, master’s and doctoral levels.

Three presenters will have 20 minutes each to present on innovations in global health, with time at the end for questions and discussion with the audience.  Each presentation should emphasize an innovative approach to teaching global health to undergraduate, masters and/or doctoral students at ASPH-member schools. The session will be introduced and moderated by Dr. Lisa Sullivan, chair of the Academy.
